Story ideas (a few to start)

History

In 1965, Hans Gmoser founded CMH and invented modern Heli-Skiing. When most skiers were perfecting tandem turns at their local resort, Hans was staking out a 3 million acre reserve that encompassed 11 distinct areas and some of the best terrain on the planet. And we’ve been skiing here ever since.

Skiable Terrain

At 3 million acres, the total CMH tenure is 23 times larger than all the skiable terrain of every resort in North America combined. For our European visitors, 3 million acres is equal to 1/3 of the size of Switzerland, and almost half the size of the Swiss Alps. And don’t worry about crowded runs; the maximum skier capacity means our guests are sharing those 3 million acres with just 450 people.

Summer Adventures

Heli-Assisted Adventures shouldn’t be limited to the winter. Our breadth of guided hikes, glacier treks and photography workshops give guests the opportunity to experience the spectacular Columbia Mountains, no matter their age or pace. And for thrill seekers, zip-lines, suspension bridges and North America’s longest Via Ferrata will fuel anyone’s adrenaline.
