Propel yourself
Work for your turns and explore untouched terrain, without the all-day ascent. A morning helicopter ride will drop you above bushwhacking territory, so you can spend the rest of the day exploring high alpine runs, glaciated landscapes and sub-alpine bowls. Your legs might burn after enjoying so many well-deserved powder turns, but at the end of the day, there’s a lodge for you to call home. The lodge, which you’ll share with other CMH guests, maintains a rustic backcountry feel but isn’t short on luxuries. Relax in the sauna, enjoy a cocktail from the bar, and fuel your climbing muscles with a chef-prepared meal — it sure beats a sweaty hut!
There are two versions of CMH touring trips to choose from:
Heli-assisted ski touring trips
Nothing but earned turns
These trips focus exclusively on heli-assisted ski touring. The more the merrier, and don’t worry — there’s plenty of powder to go around. Whether you’re a backcountry vet or a strong skier who is newer to touring, this is a great way to experience the high alpine.
Ski fusion trips
The best of both worlds
Why compromise when you can do it all? Spend half your trip heli-assisted ski touring and the other half regular heli-skiing. It’s the perfect way to switch things up and enjoy both.
Group Size
11 guests* + 2 guides
On a typical Touring or Fusion trip at CMH, you’ll get to ski or ride in personalized groups of just 11 guests or less. When you think about sharing resort groomers with up to 20,000 skiers on any given Saturday, 11 is a magic number.

Helicopter
Bell 212
Our Touring and Fusion trips use the powerful Bell 212 — the classic machine that heli-skiing was built on.
Skiable Terrain
3,000,000 acres
CMH's total terrain is bigger than all North American ski areas put together. That’s not a typo. Our exclusive three-million-acre territory is 20x larger than all the combined chairlift skiing on the continent. Woah. It would likely take several years to ski all our runs more than once — but we’re happy to help you try. Just throwin’ the challenge out there.

Average vertical
17,500m / 57,000 ft
On a 7-day CMH Fusion Trip, you'll log around 57,000 vertical feet of skiing. (This amount will vary based on trip length, run length, group dynamics, weather, etc.).
